Fountain Valley Councilman Ted Bui to run in new 70th Assembly District
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA – – Republican Fountain Valley City Councilman and business owner Ted Bui will run in the new 70th Assembly District. A Republican, Ted seeks to succeed Assemblywoman Janet Nguyen, who is running for the State Senate.
“We need policies to protect the communities and business owners. I believe a friendly business policy and using technology in many sectors are now more important than ever after the COVID pandemic. With the out-of-control crimes across California, we need to support our first responders and law enforcement. I disagree with defunding the police” said Bui. “I am running to help rebuild our economy and to have a balance in Sacramento, to help increase public safety while providing a strong conservative voice, to protect taxpayers and end wasteful state government spending.”
Ted Bui serves as President of the Fountain Valley Rotary Club and is active in the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce. Fountain Valley is one of the largest cities in the new district, which also includes Garden Grove, Westminster, Los Alamitos, Rossmoor, Stanton and parts of Huntington Beach, Santa Ana and Seal Beach.
As a City Councilman, Ted has led efforts to ease Covid restrictions that harm local small businesses and been a champion for increased public safety. In addition to crime and the economy, Ted promises to focus his efforts on reducing homelessness and traffic congestion.
Ted Bui is a business owner for over 20 years with a legal background. Ted and his wife, Attorney Rose Bui, have four children.
